A 'Grand Tour' pit stop at Newtonmore for Hammond
Life on the road is full of pitfalls and pit stops even for the TV stars, as Badenoch discovered today (Friday).
As the Strathy revealed earlier this week on their arrival in the area, the Grand Tour team of Messrs Clarkson, May and Hammond have been at Glentruim to film the next round of what seems to be a UK 'substitute' journey forced upon them by the Covid lockdown.
But around 11am today, Richard Hammond found it more of a 'breakdown' when his classic vehicle ground to a halt, according to passers-by.
"He was collected by an AA flatbed," Claire Candy told the Strathy, "while James May and Jeremy Clarkson waited in the car park of the Glen Hotel."
Claire was not slow in asking James to pose with her for a little memento pic of the big trip and the star TV presenter gracefully obliged.
