Get a taste for Glenlivet at open day
Visitors will be treated to a look ’behind the scenes’ at the Glenlivet Estate annual open day tomorrow (Saturday).
The estate, which is managed by The Crown Estate, is hosting the event to show local people and families around the estate and provide an insight into how it is looked after on a daily basis.
Hands-on activities for visitors will take place throughout the day, including tree planting at BikeGlenlivet’s two mountain bike trails and centre, which opened last year and has already attracted over 10,000 riders.
There will also be visits to different locations across the estate, including the Highland Spring water bottling plant and the historic Scalan Seminary and Mills.
Vicky Hilton, The Crown Estate’s Countryside Manager for the Glenlivet Estate, said: "We’re inviting the local community and anyone with an interest in the countryside and farming to come and meet the team and find out more about how we look after the estate, its wildlife and local heritage."
