The funeral has been announced for an Aviemore man who went missing in December 2022 for 16 months.

Rodrigo Falcon’s body was found at the end of April, after months of searching from an army of emergency services and friends.

Rodrigo Falcon was last seen in the Aviemore area in the early hours of 11 December 2022.

It fell to a local landworker to come across his body by chance this spring.

Mr Falcon, who had lived in the Highlands since 2016, had last been seen walking past a CCTV camera at the south end of Aviemore in freezing winter temperatures wearing just a red jumper and baggy jeans - both of which he was still wearing when he was found.

The announcement today confirms that his funeral will take place at noon on Wednesday week (26) at Inverness Crematorium.
