Police have confirmed that the fourth victim to have died as a result of the avalanche in Glencoe on Saturday was twenty-nine-year-old Dr Rachel Majumdar, who had been working at Harrogate District Hospital.

She originally came from Merseyside, but was most recently living in Leeds.

The other avalanche victims were Tom Chesters, 28, a PHD student at Hull University, who was living in Leeds, 25-year-old Una Finnegan, from County Antrim, Northern Ireland, a Junior Doctor living in Edinburgh and student Christopher Bell, 24, from Blackpool, Lancashire. He had been studying for a PHD in Ocean Mapping in Oban.
