Final Scottish Independence Referendum figures for the Highlands

A total of 78,069 votes were cast for Yes and a total of 87,739 votes were cast for No.

The turnout for the Highland area was 87%, with 165,976 voters returning a ballot paper from a total registered electorate in Highland of 190,778.

The electorate included 5,144 young voters.

A total of 168 votes were rejected for two reasons: 30 voted in favour of both answers and 138 were unmarked or void for uncertainty.
