New stats reveal Scottish Covid-19 vaccination progress to date and number of new cases

A TOTAL of 397 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported across Scotland in the last day, statistics released by the Scottish Government today reveal.

Updated figures for individual health board areas – such as NHS Highland – are not being published over the Easter weekend.

The local statistics will be updated on Tuesday of next week.

Today's nationwide figures show that of 21,560 new tests for Covid-19 that reported results 2.1 per cent were positive.

There were no new reported deaths of people who have tested positive.

And the figures show that a total of 2,535,889 people have received the first dose of a Covid-19 vaccination – and 434,941 have received their second dose.
