Aviemore's final farewell to Arthur

In gentle rain this morning, former 'Trampies' star and skiing legend Arthur MacLean took his leave of Aviemore.

A silent salute was paid by socially-distanced villagers duly observing Covid-19 guidelines, as the cortege passed through the village before setting off for Inverness Crematorium.

The funeral party left the MacLean family's Dalfaber Cottages home at 11.15am and travelled down Dalfaber Drive before taking a final 'wander' down Grampian Road.

Arthur died peacefully at home on Monday last week surrounded by his family, after a long brave battle.

He was 73.
