Family and police appeal for missing man
Lothian and Borders Police say there is a chance a missing man could be in the Inverness-shire area as its believed he may have friends in the Highland Capital.
The force is renewing its appeal for information to help trace Mr Steven Hope, who went missing in the Scottish Borders last month.
Steven from Peebles was last seen at around 9pm on Wednesday August 24 in the Greenside area of the town.
In the two weeks since his disappearance, he has failed to make any contact with friends or family and there are now serious concerns for his well being.
The 43-year-old may also have friends in the Tayside, Aberdeen or the Inverness areas.
Anyone who believes they have seen him since August 24 is asked to contact police immediately.
He is described as white, 5ft 10ins, of stocky build and clean-shaven complexion, green eyes and a celtic tribal tattoo on his back between his shoulder blades.
He also has an 8inch skin graft on the right arm and speaks with a Scottish accent.
A police spokesman said: "Despite two weeks of enquiries, officers are yet to trace Steven and would urge him to make contact with loved ones or police immediately and let us know he is safe and well."
