RAF using Badenoch and Strathspey air space for ops this week

There’s something in the air tonight above Badenoch and Strathspey.

All week there will be some activity just above our heads but it’s not noisy comets or asteroids, it’s the air force.

RAF Lossiemouth has issued a “Night Flying Notice” to Highland communities.

RAF Lossiemouth and Leuchars Aerodrome will be conducting night flying this week until July 11.

“Flying will take place between the hours of 1500-0130 (Mon-Thu), and 1200-1700 (Fri).

“These times are subject to change where operations require.

“As always, we thank you for your support.”
