Emergency services responded to a blaze in Grantown just off the High Street yesterday.

Enquiries are on-going to establish the cause of the fire near the rear of the Ben Mhor Hotel.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.55pm on Sunday, police were called to a report of a fire at premises on High Street on Grantown.

"Officers attended to assist and enquiries are ongoing to establish the cause of the fire.”

There were no reports of any casualties but that has not been officially confirmed.

The Strathy contacted the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service earlier today for more details but has not received a response.
