UPDATE: Emergency services attending multi-vehicle road accident on A95 by Skye of Curr
The emergency services are attending with a road accident on the A95 at Skye of Curr with the route closed in both directions.
The Strathy understands that the crash occurred near the turn-off for Broomhill station by Dulnain Bridge earlier this morning.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.50am on Wednesday, officers received reports of a multi-vehicle crash on the A95 near Dulnain Bridge.
“Emergency services are in attendance.”
Traffic Scotland reported that the road was closed in both directions just after 8am.
The site states: "The A95 is closed to all traffic near Broomhill Station due to a road traffic incident.
"Road users are advised to use an alternative route and expect longer than normal journey times."
A 16 kilometre diversion has been put in place.
Northbound traffic is being told to exit the A95 at Kinveachy on to the B9153 and continue to Carrbridge then turn right on to the A938, continue on A938 to rejoin the A95 at Dulnain Bridge and the permanently positioned signs.
Southbound vehicles are asked to exit right from A95 on to A938 at Dulnain Bridge, continue on A938 to junction with B9153 at Carrbridge then turn left on to the B9153 and rejoin the A95 at Kinveachy and the permanently positioned signs.
