Scotland’s Air Ambulance landed in Aviemore in the small hours of today affer an emergency call out.

Local social media has carried queries about the incident during the day.

The Strathy tried to get a response from the ambulance service but we were eventually informed that while a log of incidents is kept the information is not shared.

This evening a Police Scotland spokesperson was able to confirm: “Around 5.20am on Friday, 7 June, 2024, officers were made aware of the sudden death of an 84-year-old man on Milton Park, Aviemore.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious. Next of kin are aware.”

The man has not been publicly identified.
