Alvie bends roadworks at Kincraig due for completion





Highland Council has confirmed that its roads staff set to work this week on resurfacing the notorious Alvie Bends on the 'old A9' linking Aviemore and Kingussie as the schools returned from their summer holidays.

For two days motorists had a difficult, dusty job getting through the area as the project progressed.

"Our Area Roads Team has confirmed that they are currently undertaking surface dressing treatment to that section of road and that the works are due to finish today or tomorrow," a spokesperson told the Strathy yesterday.
