Car plunges into stream off the old A9 at Kincraig





Emergency services rushed to Kincraig this afternoon (Friday, September 27), after a car left the road and plunged into a stream.

The incident happened just after 1pm on the B9152 'Old A9' near the village's community hall.

The car narrowly missed a stone parapet and came to land in the burn.

Initial reports were that only one car was involved and that the occupant did not sustain serious injury, but an ambulance was called and it is understood that the motorist was removed to hospital for checks.

The road remained open as police cars and a fire crew attended.

The driver is understood to be from the Inverness area.
