A grand time was had at Badaguish Outdoor Centre’s second ever annual Christmas fayre and Santa’s grotto – with £1000 being raised towards the charity owner’s work.

Speyside Trust spokesman Craig Sutherland said it has been a highly successful day for all involved.

He told the ‘Strathy’: “This year’s event saw two new and very popular additions to complement the vast array of local business stalls for the increased number of visitors to enjoy.

“The fun and friendly alpaca walks from Cairngorm Alpaca Trekking were a big hit as was the delicious pizzas from Highland Slice.”

He said almost 250 guests visited Santa’s grotto with many children enjoying the Christmas Treasure Trail throughout the site before meeting the main man.

All the proceeds go to The Speyside Trust whose main aim is to offer ‘access to all’ and to encourage and help people with disabilities and special needs to attend camps, holidays, expeditions, outdoor and indoor activities and enjoy the strath’s countryside.
