Developer unveils images of new Aviemore housing development

The first homes in a new housing development now taking shape in Aviemore are due to be completed later this month.

The 24 two- and three-bedroom family houses to be built at Milton Burn will be heated by a single biomass heating network powered by two 70 kilowatt biomass systems.

Allan Munro Construction Ltd has just issued images of the final development located in a woodland setting off Grampian View at the north of the village.

It is being built in phases, with the showroom and two other homes due to be finished by the end of July.

The developers have said the new home owners can look forward to greener energy and lower bills thanks to an innovative community biomass scheme which will serve the housing.

The homes will be heated by a single biomass heating network powered by two 70 kilowatt biomass systems.

The wood pellet boilers – which will be installed and operated by Highland biomass specialists ZHaus Sustainable Living – will provide all the heating and hot water.

"These are high quality family homes, and our aim is to make them as comfortable and energy efficient as possible," says ZHaus director Thomas Solle.
