Cyclist serious injured after collision with tractor in Carrbridge





Police Scotland is appealing for witnesses after a road traffic collision involving a tractor and a bicycle near Carrbridge.

The incident happened on Carr Road, approximately 400 metres from the junction with the A938 at around 7.15pm last night (Thursday).

It involved an eastbound cyclist who was in collision with a tractor heading west.

The 43-year-old male cyclist was initially taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for treatment.

He was subsequently transferred to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he remains in a serious condition.

The road reopened around 2.45am following an investigation at the scene.

Road Policing Sergeant David Miller said: "We are working to establish the full circumstances of this collision and anyone who may be able to help is asked to come forward.

"I would appeal to anyone who may have seen the tractor or a group of bicycles on the road prior to the collision to get in touch.

"Anyone who could help our enquiries can call 101, quoting reference NM1637/19.
