Panto fans have had to wait but three shows at Newtonmore are on from tonight!
Christmas pantos come but once a year - but some years you have to wait a bit!
That’s the way of it in Newtonmore, which has done just that, with the production having had no option but to postpone until now.
As the last checks were carried out today, organiser Cat Christie told the Strathy: “I’m actually blown away by how well it’s all coming together.
“There was a lot of concern that the tickets wouldn’t sell without the Christmas vibe but they are flying out of the door. Tickets for tonight’s opening show sold out fast.
“We have 20 or so for tomorrow afternoon’s performance and the final evening, but just those few left so people will need to snap them up fast.”
She added: “We have been very lucky to have Michael Dearman bring his light expertise. He has single-handedly saved that part of show.
“Lighting lifts all our stage efforts and really shows off the hard work by our stage crew. The back canvases almost look professional - I’m no artist but with help we got the job done.”
