Community group to give update on Cairngorm Mountain progress
The community group bidding to take over the running of Cairngorm Mountain will be providing an update on its progress this evening.
Aviemore and Glenmore Community Trust is holding its AGM at the Cairngorm Hotel in Aviemore.
The reports from the directors and project manager will include updates on:
* where AGCT are at with HIE;
* the direction of travel;
* what AGCT thinks the future structure of the hill ownership and operation might look like;
* the master planning process; and
* possible expansion of AGCT membership beyond the PH22 postcode.
Project manager Alex Ash said: "It is really important for everyone to come along to hear what we have been doing, and what we have – and have not – managed to achieve so far.
"We also see the Q&A session as a vital part of our regular engagement with the community, so questions are welcomed on both what has been said during the formal part of the meeting, or anything else relevant to the hill and its future.
"As ever, non-members are welcome to attend but of course will not be able to vote on the resolutions."
The AGM starts at 7pm.
