Cocaine with £50k street value seized by police
A quantity of cocaine with a street value of around £50,000 has been recovered after a car was stopped in Inverness.
The vehicle was stopped on the A82 in the city by police officers yesterday morning.
A 62 year old woman has been charged in connection with the recovery and is expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court today.
A force spokesperson said: "Police Scotland is committed to tackling the supply of controlled drugs to the Highlands and Islands and pro-actively targeting those individuals intent on causing harm to our local communities.
"This enforcement relies on the support of the public to help officers take action to disrupt the drug trade."
