'Scotland’s drinking scene is definitely alive and these awards aim to celebrate cocktail makers, bartenders, top pubs and bars that serve the best drinks in Scotland,' said a spokesperson for the organisers.

The Scottish Bar & Brew Awards 2019 will take place on Monday (September 30) at Glasgow’s Marriott Hotel.

The event will welcome representatives of local bars that offer great wine lists, an array of beers, innovative cocktails and warm atmosphere.

'It will recognise bars for their fantastic crews that are always ready to welcome and serve the customers with unique drinks, blended with secret recipes and ingredients'.

The awards aim to bring together the bar industry and celebrate those who established successfully their business and found their corner in the market, due to their out of the box thinking and dedication to be the best.

The spokesperson added:” The bar industry has seen a massive growth over the past few years and this ceremony aims to acknowledge those who have played a great role in introducing innovation to this sector.
