Heartthrobs JLS are coming to Inverness

Boy band sensation JLS will make their Inverness debut this summer, in what will be their only Scottish outdoor date.

The most successful band to come out of the X Factor, with more number ones that any of the winners, JLS will perform at Northern Meeting Park in Inverness on Thursday August 23.

The bad have now sold more than six million records and topped the singles charts five times. They played at Ross County’s Victoria Park in Dingwall last summer.

The concert in the Highland capital is expected to be a sell-out.

Thousands of fans will be entertained with hits from their third album ‘Jukebox’ as well as some old favourites including ‘Beat Again’, ‘Everybody in Love’ and ‘The Club is Alive’.

Band member Marvin Humes said: "We’re really looking forward to performing in Inverness.

"We always get such a warm reception from our Scottish fans so we’re planning an extra special show for them, featuring new material from our third album, some of our old hits, the odd backflip as well as a few surprises.

JLS first rose to fame as runners up in the 2008 series of the X Factor and haven’t looked back. They are now arguably Britain’s hottest boy band and later this month (March 18) release a charity single, ‘Proud’, to raise money for Sports Relief.

Tickets go on sale this Friday and are priced at £36. They are available online at www.ticketline.co.uk or from Caffrey’s Menswear ,Union Street, Inverness.

The gates at Northern Meeting Park will open at 5pm on August 23 and the concert will end around 10pm.
