One of the Highlands' favourite attractions has been shortlisted for a prestigious award.

Landmark Forest Adventure Park in Carrbridge is lying in the top six of places for the award of Scotland’s Favourite Family Day Out.

To progress to the next stage – where a judging panel visits the attractions – they need to be voted into the top five.

General manager Danny Fullerton said “We are delighted to have reached this far in the awards as we are up against every attraction in the country.

"To be on a shortlist with the big guns in the whole of Scotland is an honour for a relatively rural attraction.

"The added bonus in this is that this stage is done by public vote – our audience is obviously a lot smaller than those available in the Central Belt so it is especially pleasing for our visitors to be so supportive.”

Voting for the final five closes tomorrow (Friday) just before midnight and Mr Fullerton is hopeful that there may be a few more votes cast yet for the attraction.

To vote visit the Scottish Entertainment Awards web site http://entertainmentawards.co.uk/vote-now/ and the category is Scotland’s Favourite Family Day Out”
