Another call out for Cairngorm team to help airlift injured mountaineer

Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team were called out to assist with an incident yesterday after a climber got into trouble.

A spokesperson for the team said the volunteers had been alerted in the afternoon:

“We were called out to the Lurchers Gulley area to a mountaineer who had sustained a lower leg injury.

“Three team members were airlifted in from the ski area, to help with a short stretcher carry to HM Coastguard - Highland R151.”

The condition of the mountaineer has not yet been confirmed.
