BREAKING: Man arrested and charged in connection with death of woman in Inverness
Police Scotland has confirmed that a 30-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a woman in Inverness.
The man, previously arrested and charged with the attempted murder of two people at a property on Craigton Avenue, has now been charged in connection with the death of the 51-year-old woman, after she died in hospital where she was being treated for “serious injuries”.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 30-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a woman in Inverness.
“Around 7.30pm on Sunday, June 1, 2025, we were called to Craigton Avenue in the city after reports of two injured people at a property.
“The injured man, aged 55, and woman, aged 51, were taken to Raigmore Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
“On Monday, June 2, the 30-year-old was charged in connection with the attempted murder of the two injured people.
“The woman died in hospital later that day and the 30-year-old man has now been charged in connection with her death.
“He is expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Tuesday, June 3.”
