Crash on A9 south of Inverness near Daviot B851 junction partially closes road with Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service at the scene

A crash is partially blocking the A9 south of Inverness.

Police and ambulance crews are at the scene near the Daviot/Croy junction of the B851.

UPDATE: The road has now fully reopened

It is not yet known if there are any casualties but Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service have been contacted for details.

Traffic Scotland says the collision happened sometime around 11 am today (Tuesday) with traffic flow restricted in a southbound direction.

Their traffic heat map shows a build-up of slow moving traffic in southbound lanes.

A Traffic Scotland spokesman said: “The A9 at Daviot is restricted southbound to a road traffic collision.

“Road users should approach with caution and expect delays.”
