BOYZONE fans in the strath can breathe a sigh of relief that the band’s local show will go on, despite rumours of a possible split.

Event and concert promoters CK Events have confirmed that Boyzone’s upcoming concert in Inverness will go ahead, quashing the claims that the band has been advised to split by former manager Louis Walsh.

The band which has sold over 15 million records; has had six number one hits and has just finished their Brother tour.

They are to play at the Northern Meeting Park in Inverness on August 27.

Thousands are expected to attend to see Keith, Mikey, Ronan and Shane entertain their fans with hits from their new album ‘Gave It All Away’ and ‘Stronger’ and old favourites including ‘No Matter What’ and ‘Baby Can I Hold You’.

Ronan Keating said: “All is good in the Boyzone camp and we’re really looking forward to the summer shows in Scotland. Our Scottish fans always give us a great reception and we’re preparing for a good show. We’ll perform some of our classic hits as well as great tracks from the album."

Les Kidger, Director of CK Events said: “I am delighted to put a stop to any rumours about the group and fans will be equally delighted to know that the Scottish concerts, scheduled for this summer, are well and truly on."
