Update on Highland search for missing Bilin Chen

Police Scotland have issued an update concerning the search for a missing woman believed be in the Inverness area.

Around 1.45pm on Wednesday, the body of a woman was discovered in Loch Ness, near the A831 Road at Drumnadrochit, a spokesperson for the force confirmed.

"No formal identification has taken place, however it's believed to be 26-year-old Bilin Chen, who was reported missing from Bath in England."

Officers have been liaising with her family.

"There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal," the spokesperson added.
