Bob Dylan's mansion in Nethy Bridge sells for over £3m
One of Badenoch and Strathspey's grandest and most expensive houses has been sold for a fee of more than £3 million, media reports have claimed.
Aultmore House, by Nethy Bridge, had been owned by Robert Zimmerman – better know as Bob Dylan – after he and his younger brother David bought the 16 bedroom property in 2006.
But the 82-year-old singer songwriter put the estate back on the market earlier this year.
“They bought it as a base,” Knight Frank agent Tom Stewart-Moore told the Scottish Daily Express.
“They’ve not been able to use it in recent years, and that’s the reason for the sale. Up until about pre-Covid times, Bob and his brother would normally go there for a few weeks a year.”
The deadline for offers on the estate ended this month, with a bid being accepted on the final day.

Knight Frank confirmed the property as sold, subject to contract, but there is no word on who the mystery buyer is.
The A-listed Edwardian mansion, which boasts 18,357 square feet of floor space and four reception rooms, is understood to have 11 bathrooms.
It's 25 acres of land also includes a quaint cottage.
The site of Aultmore House was specially selected because of its outstanding southerly views across Abernethy Forest to the Cairngorm mountains.
