Big Country Fair in store for Tomintoul
A big community event showcasing rural life in Tomintoul and Glenlivet is taking place this Sunday.
Land based activities are an important part of the local economy in upper Speyside and these will be highlighted at the Tomintoul Country Fair.
There will be demonstrations and fun, hands-on activities aimed at families, visitors and the local community.
A full programme is on offer from gundog demonstrations, falconry and farm vehicle displays to dog agility activities, woodworking and spinning.
There will also be stands featuring the local wildlife group, Grampian Moorland Group and beekeepers, as well as some fun fishing activities.
Facepainting, bungee trampolining and a barbecue will also be available throughout the day.
The Country Fair is being led by the Tomintoul & Glenlivet Development Trust.
It is being funded through the Tomintoul & Glenlivet Landscape Partnership, a £3.6m programme supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund to regenerate the area.
Doug Nisbet, chairman of Tomintoul & Glenlivet Development Trust, said: “Tomintoul Country Fair is a great fun community event for everyone.
"It will showcase the best of our area’s links with the land and celebrate the success of our National Lottery funded Landscape Partnership.”
Tomintoul Country Fair is being held in Tomintoul Square from 11am to 4pm on Sunday.
Everyone is welcome and all activities are free to attend.
