Belladrum: advice on fake tickets
Highland Police and the organisers of Belladrum 2015 have issued guidance to rock fans looking for tickets after reports of fakes going on sale through unauthorised sellers.
“There was a resale of unwanted e-tickets on Thursday June 4 at www.skiddle.com. There are no more resales planned,” they have announced.
“You need to get in touch with Skiddle with the details of your ticket and of the person receiving it. Skiddle will arrange for your ticket to be cancelled and a new one issued in the new holder’s name. A booking fee will be charged.”
Regarding tickets bought under the deposit scheme, those not fully paid by the deadline on June 1 are now voided and have been resold, the organisers have confirmed.
“Unwanted printed tickets should only be resold at their face value via our approved re-seller www.thetickettrust.com
“We strongly advise customers not to buy tickets from sellers on auction or social media sites and never to part with funds unless tickets are in the hand and known to be genuine. Tickets resold anywhere other than via The Ticket Trust are sold and acquired in breach of our terms and conditions. “
All the information can be found on the Belladrum Festival 2015 website: www.tartanheartfestival.co.uk/tickets/
“If anyone attempts to enter the venue or is found in possession of a fraudulent ticket, they will be refused entry and may be reported to the police,” said a Police Scotland spokesman.
“If you decide to purchase tickets online or through social media websites, make sure that any transaction is completed in person. Always remember that if a deal looks too good to be true, then it probably is.”
