'Cheers!' say Kingussie regulars to frontline Covid workers
A new video has gone on line today (Sunday, April 19) with a Badenoch pub's regulars toasting the amazing work done on their behalf by frontline Covid-19 workers.
And it could start something big, if the publican has her way.
Lindsay Aitken, owner of the Tipsy Laird in Kingussie High Street, told the Strathy: "I decided to put a piece together with staff and customers to show our appreciation to the NHS and essential workers.
"We have in fact accumulated customers from all over the country to make this video.
"And from this little pub in Kingussie we would like to see how far it will go!
"It was my idea to have a bit of fun amongst staff initially, but then we decided to get customers involved too and it was put together over this week."
Lindsay hosts the video, which then features head chef Josh Head, barmaids Samantha Justice and Maddy Ashton, waitress Amelia Macbeth, kitchen porter Leon Justice and Lindsay's partner Jamie Macbeth.
She said: "All the rest joining to the toast are customers from all over Scotland, joined by some locals in and around Kingussie."
