Badenoch fun day will go ahead
A fun day planned for Kincaig tomorrow will go ahead, organisers have confirmed.
Kincraig Community Hall have published a statement this morning after carefully considering what best to do in the light of an official 10-day mourning period following the death yesterday of the Queen.
"We have taken the decision to go ahead with the Kincraig Fun Day this Saturday, 10th September.
"Although we understand many of you will be saddened by the loss of Her Majesty the Queen, the Fun Day is an opportunity to come together as a community and we will officially mark our respects on the day."
With so many public events – including the last day of the Proms – being called off, serious consideration is now being taken over how to proceed at Kingussie with its long-postponed 'Shinty's Caman Home' festival, due to climax with the Camanachd Cup Final on Saturday 17th, two days before Her Majesty's funeral.
