Extra overnight closure for Laggan trunk road
Due to Monday's public holiday for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s funeral, an additional overnight closure is going to be in place on the A86/A889 junction to Strathmashie in Badenoch.
The works were scheduled to be complete by Friday 16 September, however an additional night of work is required on Tuesday 20 September.
Works will take place between 8pm and 6am, with all works expected to be complete by 6am Wednesday 21 September, subject to weather conditions, a spokesperson confirmed.
Traffic management will remain as previously programmed; due to the narrow widths on this location of the A86, to ensure the safety of roadworkers as well as motorists, a road closure will be in place.
Amnesty periods (where works are temporarily suspended) will be provided at 8pm, 9pm, 10pm, 11pm, 12pm, 2am and 4am to allow motorists to be escorted through the site.
Access through the works site for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
All relevant stakeholders have been informed of the changes.
