Badenoch MSP to hold second virtual constituency surgery
Badenoch MSP Kate Forbes will be holding her second online surgery in the space of a week to cater for demand for appointments.
Ms Forbes spent five hours hosting 15-minute virtual surgery slots for constituents last week.
But as not everyone could be accommodated due to time constraints she is doing the same again this Thursday.
Normally the SNP MSP would be holding regular surgeries across her vast constituency but due to the present lockdown restrictions these are unlikely to return in the near future.
Ms Forbes said: “My first online surgery was very busy, as I spent a full afternoon speaking to constituents virtually.
“In ordinary times, I would be travelling across the constituency holding surgeries in village halls.
"Instead, I am doing it from my own home but still able to speak to constituents directly.
“I’d like to thank everybody who took part, raising as they did a number of issues which I will work on. Unfortunately, I couldn’t fit everybody in on Friday afternoon and so I will be holding another surgery on Thursday.”
