Badenoch and Strathspey’s one hustings of the 2017 general election will go ahead after all.

Most of the candidates were due to attend a debate on environmental policy at Kingussie’s Talla nan Ros on Wednesday night (May 24) but following Monday night’s bomb attack in Manchester all campaigning was suspended.

Badenoch and Strathspey Conservation Group has now announced the rescheduling of the debate.

The event is now set for 7-9m on Thursday June 1.

The location has also changed.

It’s hoped that all the candidates will now be able to attend to state their positions on environmental issues when the event gets under way at the Badenoch Centre in Spey Street, Kingussie.

There will be a platform for all candidates and a Question Time session.
