Best feet forward once more at Badenoch beauty spot
It may be a fun day but the runs are anything but at Kincraig.
Tomorrow (Saturday, September 14) sees the village's annual dash-and-splash on the Green as the athletes complete their various challenges, sliding down the slope on their soapy backsides after either five bracing kilometres around the Badenoch beauty spot or – if they're really 'up' for it – topping Suidhe Hill.
For the seriously active there is always the opportunity to complete both the 5k and the popular hill race.
This year's fun day celebrates the silver anniversary of the Kincraig Community Hall and a large turnout is expected, with all kinds of activities laid on:
Inflatables, obstacle course, tabletop sale, dancing, face painting, "say hello to a reindeer", music, burgers, home baking, refreshments and plenty more.
Race registration opens at noon and the run run will set off at 1.30, the hill race bringing up the rear at 3pm.
