"It's here!" announced Loch Insh Outdoor Centre today, as its new facility was officially declared open.

But don't rush just yet to grab your skates.

Director Jonny Freshwater posted: "We still have a few finishing touches to do so we will be taking bookings from December18 through to February.

"You can either book a 45 minute slot or book a Day Ticket which will give you access to all our other activities."

There will be sessions bookable for 45 minutes or full day tickets including skates – but gloves won't be provided and skaters are being advised to take their own along.
