Badenoch bowlers' salute to Her Majesty

It was the rain which stopped play last night at Kingussie Bowling Club – but the club members were still on hand to pay their respects as the news came through of the Queen's sad passing at 96.

Today the club's proud standard flies at half mast on Spey Street.

A spokesperson at the green explained: "At 6:45 rain may have stopped play at Kingussie Bowling Club but couldn't prevent club members paying their respects at the death of the Queen by raising and lowering the club flag to half mast."

Club member Ian McLaren is pictured with the lowered flag.
