Barry sadly died on January 27 as a result of the injuries he sustained whilst attending a large-scale incident in the city of Edinburgh.

"All of our thoughts remain with his family, friends and colleagues," said Badenoch and Strathspey's on-call watch commander Laura McHardy.

Barry's funeral will be held on Friday at the St Giles Cathedral in Edinburgh.

Serving Scottish Fire and Rescue Service personnel will be lining part of the funeral cortege route on the Royal Mile.

People are welcome to pay their respects on Edinburgh's Royal Mile.
