Highland winter road condition report





Badenoch and Strathspey roads are reported to be damp and dry throughout the area, but with the odd frost patch. "Primary and Secondary routes are being treated and temperatures are rising," a roads department spokesperson said early today.

"There were no known overnight issues."

In the bordering Inverness area, there is reported to be a patchy grey frost on roads and gritters are out treating routes.

On the Nairn side, roads are damp and dry with the odd frost patch.

Primary and Secondary routes are being treated.

As of 9am there were no weather-related school closures in the strath, but tomorrow there will be closures due to to industrial action:

Primary schools, Secondary schools, Special schools, Local authority ELC settings Some partner ELC settings.

School crossing patrols and school transport will also not be running
