Badenoch and Strathspey roads 'dry but cold'





This morning's roads condition report for the strath, issued at 7.42, confirms that no winter action has so far been needed.

"Cold but dry throughout the area this morning," said a Highland Council spokesperson.

"No winter action needed and no known overnight issues."

On neighbouring Inverness routes the low roads are dry, but: "Icy patches from yesterday's snow melt on high roads and still some old frozen snow between wheel tracks on some high roads.

"Gritters heading off to treat all routes."

As at 09:45 am there were no schools across the Highlands closed today due to the weather.
