Badenoch and Strathspey's 'freedom' fighters will go city linking

A bus will head off from the strath this month in an attempt to emulate Eastern European independence campaigners.

"Our YES Badenoch and Strathspey Group continues to be disappointed that not more people are joining us on our bus to attend the Chain of Freedom event on Saturday, October 14," said campaigner Amanda Frazer in Newtonmore.

"It is only a fortnight to go and like all non-party political events to do with Scottish independence, it is difficult to let people know about it since the mass media ignore our attempts to promote it."

Ms Frazer told the Strathy: "This will be a historical event which has been done in Eastern European countries in the past to good effect.

"We want people to come with us on the bus to the capital!"

More information on the campaign is available on the website.
