Cold start for Badenoch and Strathspey roads

Badenoch and Strathspey roads are gradually warming after a cold morning.

First reports at 7.48 confirmed damp and wet roads throughout the area with the odd ice patch on higher routes.

Winter treatment is still being carried out.

"There are no known overnight issues," a roads department spokeperson confimred.

Surrounding Inverness are roads were shrouded in a grey frost and winter treatment measures were in operation.

By 9am there were no school closures because of bad weather conditions
