Aviemore woman warned she could be jailed for drink driving again
An Aviemore woman who was caught drunk driving two months after she had been disqualified for a similar offence could be jailed.
Katarzyna Urban-Sroka, of Ionad MacAonghais (McInnes Place), appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court and pleaded guilty to both charges and was warned that a custodial sentence was a possibility.
Sheriff Gary Aitken told the 47 year old: "Due to the very recent previous conviction in February and this one in April, it could well lead to a prison sentence."
But the Sheriff decided to defer sentence until May 29 for social workers to investigate her background and the possible reasons for her drinking.
She admitted driving with excess alcohol on Santa Claus Drive last Wednesday (April 9) with 60 mcgs of alcohol in her system. The legal limit is 22mcgs of alcohol per 100 ml of breath.
She also pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified and without insurance.
