Aviemore woman caught drink-driving in village centre whilst disqualified
Police on patrol in Aviemore saw a woman they knew was disqualified from driving get into her car and drive off down Santa Claus Drive.
Katarzyna Urban-Sroka of Ionaid Macaonghais (McInnes Place) in the village was stopped by officers at lunchtime on April 9, earlier this year.
She was found to have 60 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath in her system when the legal limit is 22mcgs.
She pleaded guilty at Inverness Sheriff Court to drunk driving, driving while disqualified and without insurance and had sentence deferred until July 24 by Sheriff Eilidh Macdonald for some social work intervention for the 47 year old.
Urban-Sroka was disqualified from driving in the interim and the Sheriff continued consideration of a Crown motion to forfeit her car to obtain more financial information about it.
