An Aviemore hostelry will close today to make way in memory of a legendary Mine Host which the strath lost so suddenly last month.

Scott Fleming (34) ran Glenmore’s Pine Marten Bar + Scran for seven glorious years, making friends around the globe both in his capacity as landlord and as a promotional genius on social media.

His selfless love for the community and its environment prompted him to many acts of kindness which will doubtless feature in today’s service.

Family and friends will gather at The Old Bridge Inn on Dalfaber Road, which has posted that today will be devoted to remembering a pal:

“We are closed to the wider public until 6pm, unless you knew Scotty and want to be part of this remembrance.

“Our bar will be open for the memorial from 2pm, with the service taking place at 3pm.

“Bar will be back open for the public at 6pm and our folk session will be on as normal at 7.30pm.

@highlandslice will be on site for memorial guests from 4, with general public sales from 5ish.

IN MEMORIAM: Scotty will be celebrated today at Aviemore's Old Bridge Inn.

“Wear something colourful and we’ll raise a glass to our pal.”
