Police appeal follows Aviemore theft





Police in Aviemore are appealing for information to help identify a man in connection with the theft of a men’s mountain bike from outside the village’s Aldi store.

The theft occurred on Sunday at around 2.55pm.

CCTV footage shows a man trying to access numerous vehicles within the retail car park before stealing the bike and making off in the direction of the Aviemore resort.

He is described as being a white male, 50-65 years of age, and of average height and build.

He was wearing a grey baseball cap with a white Under Armour logo on the front, navy blue rain jacket with a hood, navy blue jeans or trousers and brown hiking boots.

The Lapierre bike is silver and grey with a small mudguard on the front wheel and a larger mudguard on the rear wheel.

There is a Mike’s Bike’s sticker on the bottom of the frame.
