Aviemore tennis players serve up some light relief

Tennis club players in Aviemore have served up a little light hearted interlude during the current Coronavirus lockdown.

They have taken to social media to show off their keepie-uppy skills using a mixture of rackets and heads and all from the safety of their own homes.

The idea came from club coach Lauren Gunning at the weekend to encourage members at Rothiemurchus and Aviemore Tennis Club to pick up their rackets.

A teeny-weeny bit of editing later and there was a seamless show of tennis skills well until the ball reaches Aviemore-based whisky distillery boss Richard Beattie.

Lauren said: "After being sat around social distancing with a severe itch to hit a tennis ball, I noticed some sports clubs were coming up with this idea.

"I thought it was brilliant so I decided to try and get some league players and juniors involved. It brightened up a few of our players' day by taking part and hopefully will do too for those watching in these difficult times."
