Tony Brown, who formed the Snowboard Academy and promoted the sport and the Aviemore resort globally, posted:

"During a yo-yo period in my life with the army, while not on duty I was in Switzerland teaching pop-stars to snowboard for a Channel 4 TV series.

"Tonight one of my pupils, Mica Paris, sang at the Royal British Legions Festival of Rembrance show and I felt so proud.

"It was so cool to see her on the screen for such a special occasion.

Mr Brown explained: "Mica wasn’t the greatest snowboarder, but she was a lovely person and is an amazing singer.

"Thanks Mica, for tonight."
